Hakone - volcanic activity update 
Hakone The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has increased the alert to level 3 in the Owakudani area of Hakone in Kanagawa prefecture. As such a 1km radius around Owakudani is off limits to keep tourists and residents safe. Routes 734 and 735 (Souunzan through Ubako) are closed and buses that run through this area are also out of service. Accommodation, transportation and attractions outside of Owakudani are still operating as usual, including Lake Ashi (pictured). Read more

Airport Limousine Bus from Kansai Airport to Osaka Station commences 24-hour operations
Kansai Airport From 1st July 2015 Airport Limousine Bus will commence 24-hour operations between Kansai Airport (KIX) and Osaka Station. The journey between KIX and Osaka takes approximately 60 mins. One-way fares are 1,550 yen for adults and 780 yen for children. Download the PDF flyer (91.4kb)

Mt Fuji Round Trip Ticket
Mt Fuji Round Trip Ticket This summer JR-East will once again commence the limited-time sale of the Mt Fuji Round Trip Ticket. The pass provides unlimited travel for two days the Free Area of the Fujikyuko Line and Mt Fuji Climber Bus. It can also be used for round-trip travel from the Tokyo Metropolitan District to Otsuki on the Limited Express trains on the Chuo Main Line. Read more
