JNTO exhibited at the Snow Travel Expos in Sydney and Melbourne, held these past two weekends. In conjunction with these shows, we hosted travel agent seminars. They were a great chance for agents to meet with ski resort representatives. The seminars were very successful and we thank all the participating agents for their support.

We'll be hosting another trade seminar covering overall travel to Japan in Sydney on 10th June 2015. More details below.

Takkyubin Luggage Forwarding Service
Travel like a pro by sending your large suitcases throughout Japan using the takkyubin baggage forwarding service. Bags can be sent safely and securely to/from airports, hotels, convenience stores and other pick-up locations. It costs about AUD$20 per large suitcase. Baggage is usually delivered by the next business day, except in remote areas.

Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass and Ise-Kumano Area Tourist Pass
Takayama-Hokuriku and Ise-Kumano Area Tourist Pass The Central Japan Railway Company and West Japan Railway Company will launch the sale of two new products for tourists starting 1 July 2015. The Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass, allows access to Takayama, Shirakawago, Gokayama in addition to the Hokuriku areas Kanazawa and Toyama. The Ise-Kumano Area Tourist Pass will allow convenient access to attractions in Mie, Ise and Kumano Kodo from Nagoya. Read more

Goshikigahara Nature Trail is now open
Goshikigahara Nature Trail Climb up to Goshikigahara Plateau, covered by virgin forest. Accompanied by a licensed guide, you can follow the tracks through the forest while receiving information on the plants and other natural features of the surroundings. There are two 8-hour courses - one focusing on waterfalls and the other on ponds. Visit the website for pricing and reservations

Hakuba Valley joins The Mountain Collective
Hakuba Valley Season Pass Hakuba Valley, Japan's premier snow resort in Nagano has been announced as the sole partner in Japan of the Mountain Collective, a collaboration of the best independent ski resorts in the USA, Canada, Australia and South America. The new alliance entitles Hakuba Valley Season Pass holders to receive 50% off at all other Mountain Collective resorts for a maximum of up to 5 days at each resort. Mountain Collective Pass holders will receive two free days of skiing at any Hakuba Valley Resort with no blackout dates. Visit the site

Airport Limousine Bus from Kansai Airport to Kyoto
KIX to Kyoto by Airport Limousine Bus For clients arriving at Kansai Airport (KIX), the airport limousine bus is a great way to access Kyoto. The ride takes 90 mins and costs 2,550 yen one-way. There are 38 services a day from Kyoto to KIX and 40 services a day from KIX to Kyoto. Additional stops in Kyoto and increased services started 25 April 2015. View flyer and timetable

Adachi Museum of Art, one of Japan's 31 most beautiful places
Adachi Museum of Art Adachi Museum of Art in Shimane prefecture was selected as one of Japan's 31 most beautiful places by CNN America. The Museum's gardens were ranked number one out of over 900 gardens throughout the country. If your clients love Japanese gardens, they should consider visiting Adachi Museum of Art, which has also gained three stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan. Read more
