Hokkaido Rail Pass

Allows the pass holder unlimited rides on JR Hokkaido trains and designated JR Hokkaido bus services.

Eligibility

Only overseas visitors with the entry status Temporary Visitor are eligible for this pass.

How to purchase

The Hokkaido Rail Pass can be purchased in Japan at JR Information Desks at Sapporo Station, New Chitose Station, or JR Travel Service Centers located at Kushiro, Obihiro, Abashiri, Asahikawa, Sapporo and Hakodate Stations. Be sure to show your passport at time of purchase.

An exchange voucher can be purchased outside of Japan from authorised sales agents.

Kansai WIDE Area Pass

Allows the pass holder unlimited rides of JR from Kansai Airport to Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Himeji, Shiga, Tsuruga, the Nanki Area, the Okayama Area and Kinosaki Onsen (spa).

Includes the use of the bullet-train “SANYO SHINKANSEN”, Express Trains and Conventional lines.

Kansai Area Pass

Allows the pass holder to use the Kansai Airport Express “HARUKA” from Kansai Airport and Special rapid services, Rapid services and Local services from Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Himeji and other popular destinations in Kansai, including Universal-City, the closest station to Universal Studios Japan.

Separate tickets are required for reserved seats on the Kansai-airport Express HARUKA; reserved and non-reserved seats on express trains. Bullet trains cannot be used.

Kyushu Rail Pass

Allows the pass holder unlimited travel on any Kyushu Railway Co. train service including the Kyushu Shinkansen bullet train and Sonic limited express services while the pass is valid. (The JR Kyushu Rail Passes are valid only in the areas covered by each pass.)

Eligibility

Only overseas visitors with the entry status Temporary Visitor are eligible for this pass. The pass holder must carry their passport with them at all times to use the pass.

Overseas: Exchange tickets can be purchased from all authorised sales agents.

Exchange sites: Hakata Station, Kokura Station, Mojiko Station; JR kyushu Travel Agency offices in Kokura, Hakata, Kumamoto, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kagoshima Chuo, Miyazaki and Miyazaki Airport stations; and the Beppu Station Travel Center.
