Visit Japan for MICE
Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Sydney office will host a lunch seminar on Friday, 10th February at the Ocean Room in Sydney, aimed at the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) professionals. With presentations from JNTO, JTB Australia, Destination Asia, Mandarin World Tours, Hilton Worldwide and Japan Airlines, the seminar will showcase why Japan is the ideal location for international conferences and incentive tours.
Renowned for its superb level of hospitality, safety, cleanliness and above all, professionalism, Japan also offers highly-developed infrastructure, world-class venues and excellent facilities, wide variety of accommodations and wealth of tourist attractions. Japan’s venues invite people to discover, explore and enjoy. Numerous unique venues are available and these can offer a different kind of experiences and everlasting memories.
Holding the incentive in a historical castle or in a movie studio park could be a unique experience. Kanazawa Castle, on the west coast of Japan, which has also served as a set for many samurai movies, offers a gallery as a meeting venue. The world famous samurai movie set – Toei Kyoto Studio Park in the culture metropolis of Kyoto can provide the perfect setting for a Ninja Night Reception, making for an unforgettable event. Japan’s answer to Hollywood was used to film movies such as The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise. These venues’ close proximity to many Japanese popular tourist attractions make them appealing and accessible for MICE.
JNTO Sydney, Executive Director, Yukio Yamashita commented “JNTO Sydney is increasingly focusing on building the Australian MICE market to Japan and this event is an ideal opportunity for local conferences and incentive organisers to learn more about Japan as an incentive destination as well as to network with leading suppliers. We hope that MICE representatives from Australia can visit and experience Japan in the near future and they can see that Japan is the ideal destination for their next incentive trip or business event.”
