Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival

When: 23 February 2020, 11:30am – 5:30pm             Where: Federation Square, City of Melbourne

The Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival is on once more to bring Japan a little closer to home. Come down to Federation Square to witness traditional performances, immerse yourself in food and activities and connect with the new generation of young performers who love to sing, dance and cosplay. Canterbury Japan Day (Christchurch)

When: 1 March 2020, 9:30am – 4:30pm             Where: Riccarton Racecourse, Sockburn

A winter-themed celebration with the warmest Japanese hospitality! This year’s theme for Canterbury Japan Day is “Japanese Winter”. The Christchurch event will recreate the beauty and atmosphere of winter in Japan, with seasonal delicacies and festive activities on offer all day long. Dozens of food stalls will be set up with key attractions including taiko drum performances, calligraphy demonstrations and a special ‘Tokyo Olympics’ section.
