Autumn Leaves at Lake Chuzenji

Partners Information: Lake Chuzenji (Chuzenjiko) in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, is the highest natural lake at 1,269 metres above sea level.

Trees such as momiji (Japanese maple), urushi, buna (Siebold’s beech), mizunara (oak trees) and katsura grow in the area and produce beautiful autumn colours.

Coloured red and yellow leaves lie on the surface of the lake and the reflected scenery is breathtaking.
