A New Tokyo Disneyland Special Event
"Disney’s Power of Music!”
January 20 through March 19, 2010
URAYASU, CHIBA— Tokyo Disneyland® Park will present "Disney’s Power of Music!", a new special event with a "music festival" theme, starting from January 20. "Disney’s Power of Music!" will entertain everyone, from small children to grown-up music fans.
The plaza in front of Cinderella Castle will be transformed into a live performance area, featuring a 20-meter-long runway stage. The live show “Rhythm! Melody! Harmony!” presented there daily will get everyone’s toes tapping and body moving to the music. Mickey Mouse and his Disney friends, together with live musicians, will perform your favorite Disney songs and more in a variety of musical styles. Guests will want to join in, creating a whirlwind of excitement throughout the venue.
There will also be unscheduled live performances around the plaza in front of Cinderella Castle, with the Disney Characters collaborating with live bands, creating an atmosphere of musical festivity all day long.
The Park will be decorated with "sound wave" and "rainbow motifs". A gate serving as the music festival’s icon will be set up at the entrance of the plaza, creating anticipation for the live performances held within. A fun photo location with music and lighting effects will be set up in the center of the plaza and feature a monument of the Disney characters and musical instruments.
Restaurants in the Park will serve special menus with musical note motifs, or with souvenir items featuring the Disney characters as they appear in the "Disney’s Power of Music!" show. The food wagons in the plaza will also serve refreshments that can be enjoyed while walking around. Shops will sell over 50 different types of items, including toy instruments and towels, to help guests enjoy the music festival even more.
